Marcus Scotland and his Newport Cricket Club teammates went down by 50 runs against Keynsham Cricket Club.
Batting first Keynsham Cricket Club scored 217/5 in their allotted 40 overs, Jake Carstens was the top scorer with 82, Tegh Sehgal was the pick of the Newport bowlers with figures of 8-1-42-3, and Scotland held onto a catch.
In reply, Newport was bowled out for 167, Chris Hardy was the top scorer with 34, Scotland who opened the inning was out for 2, Carstens was the pick of the Keynsham bowlers with figures of 8-3-19-4.
