The St. George’s Cricket Club defeated the Southampton Rangers by 9 wickets at the Wellington Oval.

Southampton Rangers won the toss and elected to bat, they would be bowled all out for 77, Dalin Richardson was the top scorer with 33, while Jaoni Albouy was the only other batsman in double figures with 16. Shakai Darrell was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-2-19-3, while Rohan Richards bowled 6-1-23-3.

In reply the St. George’s Cricket Club scored 79/1, Temiko Wilson, and Nzari Paynter shared a 64-run opening wicket partnership to guide them to their target, Paynter was the top scorer with 32, while Wilson added 22. Makai Jacobs was the only Southampton Rangers bowler to claim a wicket finishing with figures of 3-0-8-1.

Bailey’s Bay Win by 95 Runs

Bailey’s Bay 184 Warwick Workmen’s Club 89

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Bailey’s Bay began the season picking up a 95-run victory over Warwick Workmen’s Club.

Bailey’s Bay won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled all out for 184, Terryn Fray was the top scorer with 52, he shared a 77-run 5th wicket partnership with Rodney Trott, to take the team from 64/4 to 133/5. Fray’s runs came off 90 balls, he hit 3 fours and 1 six. Luke Fulton was the pick of the Warwick bowlers returning figures of 7.4-1-18-4, Malachi Jones bowled 10-0-33-3.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s Club could only manage 89, Kwasi James was the top scorer with 16, Kyle Hodsoll was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 9-1-34-4, while Sharye Tavares bowled 2.5-0-6-3.

Cleveland County Win by 6 Wickets

Western Stars 134 Cleveland County 136/4

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Cleveland County defeated Western Stars by 6 wickets.

Cleveland County won the toss and elected to bowl, they would bowl Western Stars all out for 134, they got a good start as Gavin Manders and Jason Anderson shared a 49-run opening wicket partnership before Manders departed for his team’s top score of 26, Seth Campbell was 25 not out, Dion Stovell made an immediate impact on his new team with the ball returning figures of 9.3-1-30-7, Mackinh McGowan bowled 7-1-37-3.

In reply, Cleveland County scored 136/4, Q'Shai Darrell was the top scorer with 49, he shared a 52-run second-wicket partnership with Steven Bremar was the next highest with 26. Sheehan Don was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers returning figures of 3-0-21-3.
