Delray Rawlins has been pulled from the Sussex 2nds and has been named in the Sussex team against Worcestershire in their third game in the LV= Insurance County Championship.
After last week’s heroics from captain Tom Haines and debutant Cheteshwar Pujara, Head Coach Ian Salisbury is hopeful that his side can build some momentum.
Haines and Pujara put on a phenomenal third-wicket stand of 351 in 119 overs to ensure Sussex claimed a draw and left Derbyshire with 8 points in the bag.
Head Coach Ian Salisbury said, “First of all, it is great to have Delray back in the side, we were delighted with his two performances for the second XI, not only with his fifer’s but also his attitude and application. Del comes in for James Coles who has now returned to college to finish his exams.”
Cameron Jeffers & Amari Ebbin
Cameron Jeffers, Amari Ebbin, and their Cowbridge Cricket Club teammates defeated Newport Fugitives Cricket Club by 85 runs.
Cowbridge won the toss and elected to bat they scored 219/5, Jeffers scored 46 off 48 balls hitting 8 fours, while Ebbin was out without scoring.
In reply, the Newport Fugitives scored 134/7 in their 40 overs, with Jeffers returning figures of 5-2-8-3.
Logan Jones & Jarryd Richardson
Logan Jones and Jarryd Richardson suited up for Cardiff Metropolitan University Cricket Club, as they defeated the University of South Wales by 102 runs.
Cardiff batted first and scored 278/9 in their allotted 40 overs, Jones scored 20, while Richardson did not bat.
In reply South Wales were bowled out for 176, Jones bowled 5-0-23-2, while Richardson bowled 1-0-11-0.
