Bermudian fly-half Jamin Hodgkins helped UBCOB Ravens maintain their unblemished start to the British Columbia Men’s Premier League season, guiding his side to a blistering 40-25 victory over university rivals UBC.
In an enthralling, high-tempo encounter at the Gerald McGavin Centre, the Ravens showcased their attacking firepower to pull clear in the second half and bank another bonus-point triumph on the road.
The result keeps the Ravens locked near the summit of the BC Premier standings, preserving a flawless run to open the new campaign.
Hodgkins was once again instrumental in controlling proceedings from the backfield. Operating with his trademark tactical awareness and precision off the tee, the Canada Under-20 and former Bermuda youth international dictated tempo as the Ravens weathered a determined UBC challenge.
The university side posed regular threats through their customary pace out wide, but the visitors leaned on their experienced forward pack and clinical finishing to rack up 40 points.
Hodgkins provided a steadying presence through the gears, converting key chances to deny UBC any late route back into the contest as the Ravens sealed their third straight win.
