Bermuda’s cyclists produced a sensational day against the clock in Santo Domingo, claiming two gold medals and a silver at the 2026 Caribbean Elite & U23 Road Cycling Championships.
On a blistering afternoon of individual time trials in the Dominican Republic, Kaden Hopkins and Nic Narraway locked out the top two steps of the podium in the elite men's category to deliver a commanding Bermuda one-two.
Hopkins set the benchmark with an explosive ride, stopping the clock in 42 minutes 23.239 seconds to secure the elite men’s continental crown.
Narraway pushed his compatriot all the way, crossing in 43:01.017 to seal a comfortable silver medal and confirm Bermuda’s regional dominance against the watch.
Bermuda’s golden haul was doubled in the women's ranks thanks to a sparkling display from rising star Charlotte Millington.
Competing in the Under-23 division, Millington posted a rapid time of 31:45.034 to emphatically take the U23 gold medal. Her effort proved strong enough to challenge the senior field as well, earning her fifth place overall across all women's competitors.
Team-mate Gabriella Arnold narrowly missed out on the senior podium, delivering a strong ride of 31:19.995 to finish fourth overall in the elite women's standings.
With three medals secured from the opening time trials, Bermuda's riders head into the upcoming road races with immense momentum in their pursuit of further continental silverware.
