Bermudian pickleball players Susan Chiappa and Sarah Fox produced an outstanding medal haul at the APP Columbus Open, securing three silver medals between them across doubles competition in Ohio.
The duo showcased impressive form and consistency throughout the tournament, reaching the podium in both women's and mixed doubles divisions against competitive international fields.
Teaming up in the Women's Doubles 3.5 skill level for the 65+ and 70+ age bracket, Chiappa and Fox navigated their way through the draw to reach the championship decider, ultimately taking home the silver medal following a hard-fought final.
Both players carried that momentum into their respective mixed doubles campaigns, adding further silverware to their tally.
Partnering Carlos Olivieri in the Mixed Doubles 3.0/3.5 division for players aged 50 and over, Chiappa delivered another strong run through the knockout stages to secure her second silver medal of the tournament.
Fox matched the feat in the Mixed Doubles 3.5 category for the 65+ and 70+ age division. Combining with Everett Jackson, she battled through to the final to claim silver, capping a remarkably successful outing for the Bermudian pair in Columbus.
