Irfan Zack and Siang Sza Keang secured the Men’s Doubles 4.0 50+ title at the International Pickleball Tournament in Da Nang, halting a spirited run from Jose Barroso and Vincent Chaves in the final.
Barroso and Chaves had mounted an impressive charge through the knockout stages on the Vietnamese coast, only to be stopped in the championship decider by the clinical Zack and Siang.
Barroso and Chaves opened their campaign in commanding fashion, outplaying the pairing of Huang Chung Jung Toshi and Usufomo Fepueah in the quarter-finals to book their place in the final four.
The semi-finals delivered a tough test, but the duo maintained their momentum to overcome Rogerio de Almeida and Hilton Gomes, sealing a well-earned spot in the showpiece match.
However, Zack and Siang proved a step too far in the final, dictating key exchanges to capture the title and leave Barroso and Chaves to settle for a hard-fought runners-up finish.
