Bermuda cyclist Kaden Hopkins has made a swift return to outdoor training, just a fortnight after suffering a broken collarbone in a crash at the Tour of Guadeloupe.
The 26-year-old underwent reconstructive surgery in Alicante, Spain—where he is based—having a plate inserted to stabilise the fracture.
Hopkins began intensive physiotherapy with specialist Pasqui Carrillo Garcia only 48 hours after the operation before stepping up his rehabilitation on the indoor turbo trainer.
Two weeks on from the initial injury, Hopkins is back out on the road, fully focused on regaining peak fitness ahead of next month's UCI Road World Championships in Montréal.
The Canadian city will host the championships from 20 to 27 September 2026. It marks the second time Montréal has staged the event following the historic 1974 edition—the first Road World Championships held outside Europe—and the third time Canada has hosted, following the 2003 championships in Hamilton.
