The Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) is proud to confirm that official approval has been granted for Bermuda to host its 2026 Davis Cup
World Group II tie against Mexico, marking the historic return of Davis Cup competition to local shores after three decades.
Following the initial announcement earlier this year celebrating Bermuda’s qualification, final venue and event approvals mean the island is officially set to host Mexico at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium from September 19th - 20th, 2026. The milestone event marks 30 years since Bermuda last hosted a Davis Cup tie, bringing World Tennis-sanctioned international team tennis back to the island on a scale not seen in a generation.
Governed by World Tennis (formerly the International Tennis Federation), the Davis Cup is the world’s premier international men’s team tennis competition. Staging this tie locally offers a rare opportunity to showcase Bermuda’s athletic talent, world-class hospitality, and historic sporting legacy before an international audience.
The return of this world-class event is made possible through the crucial backing of key corporate and government stakeholders. Title Sponsor HSBC Bank Bermuda Ltd., the Government of Bermuda, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) have stepped forward as the three core partners dedicated to driving the success of the event.
