Bermuda’s finest track and field athletes are set to battle it out this weekend at the Bermuda National Athletics Association (BNAA) National Championships, with every moment of the action broadcast live on Island Stats.
Thanks to a vital strategic grant from the Ministry of Tourism & Transport Culture and Sport, fans will have unprecedented access to the highly anticipated Bermuda National Swimming Championships.
The premier event on the local athletics calendar takes center stage from Saturday, June 20th to Sunday, June 21st at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium. The action is scheduled to run from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on both days.
A massive contingent of the island’s emerging and established sports stars will be on display across an expansive range of age categories, spanning from the grassroots Under-8 division all the way through to the highly competitive Under-17, Under-20, and Open brackets.
The two-day showcase promises high-octane drama on the track, featuring a full schedule of racing from the explosive 60-meter sprints right through to the grueling tactical tests of the 5,000-meter distances.
Alongside the track events, the island's top field specialists will also clash in the horizontal jumps, high jump, and throwing circles.
Whether athletes are hunting down a prestigious national crown, chasing a personal best to secure international qualification, or looking to make a breakthrough performance in front of a passionate home crowd, this weekend’s championships promise to be an unmissable highlight of the Bermudian summer sporting calendar.
For those unable to make it to the stadium to support from the stands, Island Stats will provide full digital coverage to bring the atmosphere and results directly to fans at home and abroad.
