David Morris has solidified his status as a cornerstone of New York’s Masters School Track program, spearheading a series of historic accomplishments during a dominant 2026 campaign.
From the hallowed grounds of Franklin Field to record-breaking displays in the relay events, Morris has proven to be a versatile weapon for the Masters School, delivering peak performances across hurdles, sprints, and relays alike.
The season reached an early peak during the world-renowned Penn Relays. Competing on the iconic Franklin Field, Morris was a vital cog in the High School Boys’ 4x400m relay machine. The team delivered a tactical masterclass to clinch the Prep School Division title, stopping the clock in a blistering 3:21.71.
Morris’s momentum carried into the Glenn D. Loucks Games, where he helped steer his teammates to a landmark victory in the Sprint Medley Relay (SMR). The quartet didn’t just win; they shattered the meet record with a collective time of 3:27.91. Morris provided the explosive spark during the 200m leg, clocking an scorching split of 21.54 seconds.
At the FAA Championships hosted by the Hopkins School, Morris’s individual brilliance was the driving force behind the team’s overall meet victory. Displaying remarkable endurance and technical range, Morris participated in three individual disciplines to bank a massive 26 points for his school
