 May1st, 2026, the Bermuda Pacers Track Club in conjunction with new title Sponsor Somerset Reinsurance will host the 17th Annual Schools’ Relay Classic at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium starting at 5:30pm. The school will not only compete for bragging rights, but $3,900.00 to the winning schools and the Relay Classic Trophies.
The event starts at 5:30pm with the primary and middle school teams competing in the 4 x 100 meter Semi-Finals. At 6:15pm the special events will take place that includes the Special Olympians 100 meters race, the Whitney Institute Drum line and the Berkeley Institute Dancing Cheerleaders. At 7:00pm the schools will again do battle in the 4 x 400 meter relays. These events are all timed finals. The highlight of the evening will be the 4 x 100 meter finals. These events are scheduled to start at 8:00pm. Many of the island’s Carifta athletes will be competing for their school.
During this event you will witness the top 8 schools in the primary, middle and senior secondary school levels competing. Some 300 students/athletes from the public and private schools will be involved. Current Champions, West End Primary, Sandy’s Secondary Middle School and Berkeley Institute will be there to defend their titles. Admission to entry the event is free
