Nicholas Narraway remains firmly in contention at the 2026 Redlands Bicycle Classic after a disciplined performance during a punishing Stage Three.
Representing Competitive Edge Racing, Narraway navigated the 55.2-mile Crafton Hills Circuit Race to finish 22nd in a tightly contested bunch finish. The stage was claimed by Eder Moctezuma, who crossed the line in 2:05:09, but Narraway’s ability to stay with the lead group proved vital for his overall ambitions.
The Bermudian rider stopped the clock at 2:05:33, finishing just 24 seconds adrift of the stage winner. On a course known for its taxing climbs and technical descents, Narraway showed impressive tactical awareness to avoid being gapped as the peloton fractured in the final miles.
The result has significant implications for the general classification. Narraway currently occupies ninth place in the overall standings with a combined time of 4:36:33. He sits just 57 seconds behind the yellow jersey, which is currently held by Moctezuma.
With the margin at the top of the leaderboard still under a minute, Narraway heads into the final stages of the classic as a genuine threat for a top-ten finish. The focus now shifts to whether the Competitive Edge rider can find a decisive move to close the gap on the leader as the race reaches its climax.
