Nicholas Narraway maintained his position in the heart of the peloton as the 2026 Redlands Bicycle Classic shifted into its second stage in California.
Representing Competitive Edge Racing, Narraway navigated a high-octane 104.3 km (64.8 miles) trek during the Trek-Hangar 24 Circuit Race. In a stage defined by tactical positioning and blistering speed, the Bermudian crossed the line in 61st place as part of a massive bunch finish.
The race, which consisted of 24 laps around a technical circuit, was ultimately decided by a frantic field sprint. Narraway stopped the clock in 2:08:38, recording the exact same time as the stage winner, Sebastian Brenes of the Canel’s-Java team.
The result is a tactical success for Narraway, as finishing within the lead group ensures he loses no time to the overall leaders in the General Classification. After a strong 12th-place finish in the opening time trial, the young Bermudian continues to demonstrate his ability to handle the intensity of the professional North American circuit.
The five-day "Classic" now moves toward its more punishing stages, including the attritional circuit races at Crafton Hills and the legendary Sunset Road Race. With Narraway sitting comfortably in the main pack and showing the endurance to match the front-runners, he remains a key figure for Competitive Edge as they look to animate the race in the coming days.
