PID and CG Secure Decisive Victories in Double Header

IslandStats.com
The PCC Hockey Rink was once again the focal point for high-scoring drama as the latest Bermuda Ball Hockey double-header produced a combined seventeen goals across two relentless fixtures. Fans were treated to a showcase of offensive clinical edge and individual brilliance as Positive Image Dental and CG emerged with vital points to shake up the league standings.

Spine & Sport 4 Positive Image Dental 6

The evening’s opening contest was a high-octane affair between Positive Image Dental and Spine & Sport, which ultimately saw the Dental side pull away for a hard-fought 6-4 victory.

The first period set a frantic pace as Ross Rufiange and Kyle Harvey gave Positive Image Dental an early two-goal cushion, only for Mathieu Desjardins to respond for Spine & Sport before the interval. The see-saw battle continued into the second frame; Curran Trenouth and Johnny Talbot found the net for Spine & Sport to keep the pressure on, while Rufiange’s second of the night ensured Dental stayed level.

The game was eventually decided in the third period as John King, Louis Sujir, and Will Langford struck in quick succession to establish a three-goal lead. A late consolation from Jake Fenske was not enough to spark a Spine & Sport comeback.

CG 6 Alexandra Mosher 1

In the night's second fixture, CG delivered a statement of intent with a dominant 6-1 win over Alexandra Mosher. The match belonged to Jeremy Estey, who produced a masterclass in finishing by netting four goals.

CG asserted their authority early in the first period through Estey and Dallas Montgomery, though Adam Mattatall managed to claw one back for Alexandra Mosher to keep the contest competitive at the first break.

However, the second period proved to be one-way traffic as Estey took over the encounter, scoring twice more to effectively put the result beyond doubt. The clinical forward added his fourth of the evening in the final period, followed by a strike from Nathan Kowalski to put the finishing touches on a comprehensive performance.

The result further solidifies CG’s reputation as one of the most dangerous offensive units in the division, leaving Alexandra Mosher with plenty to ponder ahead of their next outing.
