BFH Triple Header Produce Seven Goals at the Stadium

IslandStats.com
A triple-header of Bermuda Field Hockey action at the National Sports Center provided a day of tactical battles and clinical finishing as the league's top sides clashed on the turf. The afternoon was highlighted by a resilient comeback in the opening fixture and a tightly contested stalemate, while the final match of the day was decided by a late winner.

Pink Robins 3 Griffins 1

The Pink Robins secured a hard-fought three one victory over the Griffins despite falling behind in the very first minute of play. Rufus Grainger gave the Griffins an ideal start by finding the net with a field goal, but the Robins' superior set-piece execution eventually turned the tide.

Jen Chisnall hauled her side level in the twenty-seventh minute from a penalty corner, before Izzy Pugh put the Robins ahead just five minutes later with another successful penalty corner strike. Chisnall then made the points safe in the fifty-eighth minute, converting her second penalty corner of the match to complete the scoring.

Ravens 0 Budgies 0

In the second match of the day, the Ravens and the Budgies played out a tactical zero zero draw. Both defensive units remained disciplined throughout the contest, and despite several periods of sustained pressure, neither side could find the decisive breakthrough, leaving the points shared in a scoreless encounter.

Dark & Stormies 1 Swizzles 2

The final fixture of the triple-header saw the Swizzles edge past the Dark and Stormies with a two one win. The Dark and Stormies took an early lead in the twelfth minute through a well-executed penalty corner, but the Swizzles responded in the twenty-sixth minute with a field goal to bring the scores level.

The match appeared to be heading for a draw until the fifty-sixth minute, when the Swizzles found the back of the net with another field goal to secure all three points in the closing stages.
