The tone was set early in the first period as Positive Image Dental raced into a commanding position. Ross Rufiange opened the scoring with a sharp finish before teammate Kyle Harvey doubled the advantage to leave Spine and Sport reeling. However, the deficit was halved before the first interval when Mathieu Desjardins found the net to breathe life back into the contest.
The second period proved to be a see-saw battle as both sides traded blows in a desperate bid for control. Curran Trenouth restored parity for Spine and Sport early in the frame, only for the clinical Rufiange to strike again for his second of the night. The resilience of the chasing pack was on full display once more as Johnny Talbot dragged his side level at three apiece, setting the stage for a dramatic final period.
With everything to play for in the third, Positive Image Dental finally seized the initiative with a devastating three-goal burst. John King, Louis Sujir, and Will Langford all found the back of the net in quick succession to effectively put the result beyond doubt. A late consolation goal from Jake Fenske provided a glimmer of hope for Spine and Sport, but it proved too little, too late as Positive Image Dental held firm to claim maximum points in a memorable night for the neutral spectator.
