The Bermuda Ball Hockey League made a thunderous return to action at the PCC Hockey Rink after a string of recent rain-outs, with a total of 24 goals scored across a high-octane double-header.
Alexandra Mosher 4 Hamilton Princess 3
The opening encounter saw Alexandra Mosher edge past Hamilton Princess in a tightly contested 4-3 thriller.
After a scoreless opening period where defenses held firm, the match exploded into life during the second period.
Adam Mattatall and Akhil Kapur gave Mosher an early advantage, but Hamilton Princess fought back through Richard Campbell and John Duda. Shannon Gosse restored the lead for Mosher, only for Shawn McKee to level the scores once more.
The tension was finally broken in the third period when Kapur struck his second of the night to secure a hard-fought victory.
Positive Image Dental 9 ACT 8
The drama escalated in the evening’s second fixture as Positive Image Dental narrowly defeated ACT 9-8 in a goal-scoring frenzy.
The first period alone produced eight goals, with Jordan Gunter and Brett Williamson clinical for Dental, while Anthony Kapsimalis, James Amaral, and Ben Wilshaw kept ACT firmly in the hunt.
The second period remained just as frantic, with Ross Rufiange and Josh Prodger adding to Dental's tally as they looked to pull away. Despite a late surge from ACT led by Wilshaw’s hat-trick and a goal from Samuel Vieira, Positive Image Dental held their nerve.
A final period effort from John King proved to be the decisive blow, ensuring Dental emerged on the right side of a seventeen-goal marathon to cap off a spectacular return to the rink.
