IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) wishes to express its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families and friends on the recent passing of Danvers Seymour Sr.

He is a true icon of our sport. He was deservingly recognized as a BFA Legend in 2020 along with Chevonne Furbert, Ellsworth Lambert, Lance Brown, and Arnold Gene West.

His profound passion and unwavering dedication left an enduring legacy that touched many lives within our football community.

He has been described as a fierce competitor both as coach and player. He was a member of the 1978 Bronze Medal team at the CAC Games in Columbia.

Seymour Sr. started his football career at Pembroke Hamilton Club. He made his first appearances for the Senior team at PHC in 1968 and played with them through to 1978.

During that time Seymour won the FA cup, Friendship Cup, and the League. He was the technical Advisor at Somerset Cricket Club.

He has also been the Head Coach for teams such as PHC, Southampton Rangers, Vasco Da Gama Club, Dandy Town Hornets, and the North Village Rams.

As a symbol of our deepest respect and in honor of his indelible contributions to Bermudian football, the Bermuda Football Association will be changing its official logo to black across all social media platforms until he is laid to rest.
