PREMIER DIVISION
North Village Rams 0 PHC Zebras 0
Enrique Russell proved the difference-maker at a floodlit Bernard Park on Friday night, firing the PHC Zebras to the top of the Premier Division with a clinical 1-0 victory over the North Village Rams.
The result sees the Zebras leapfrog both the Devonshire Colts and the Dandy Town Hornets to claim a slender one-point lead at the summit of the table.
In a tense encounter between two of the island's heavyweight programs, clear-cut chances were a rarity during a cagey first half that ended scoreless.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 75th minute when Russell, who has been in scintillating form this season, found space inside the area to spin and drill a low effort into the corner.
The goal marks another vital contribution from the forward, whose clinical edge has become a cornerstone of the Zebras' title charge.
FIRST DIVISION
Wolves 3 Robin Hood 2
There was drama in the First Division as fifth-placed Wolves produced a sensational performance to defeat league leaders Robin Hood 3-2, throwing the promotion race wide open.
Despite Keishen Bean extending his lead at the top of the goalscoring charts with his 17th of the campaign, the leaders were unable to withstand a relentless late surge from the home side.
Wolves initially took the lead through Jarred Douglas in the 26th minute, only for the veteran Bean to restore parity before the interval.
The match remained balanced until a frantic final ten minutes, where Khiari Sharrieff and Antonio Wade struck in quick succession to give Wolves a commanding 3-1 lead. A late goal from Samuel Carolo set up a nervous finish, but Wolves held firm to secure their most significant result of the season.
