The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) has cleared the deck for a dramatic set of fixtures following the FA Challenge Cup Quarter-Final draw at the Clyde Best Centre of Excellence.
The draw has thrown up a series of high-stakes encounters that promise to deliver both intra-parish rivalries and heavyweight clashes as the island’s top clubs eye a spot in the semi-finals.
The headline act of the round sees Premier Division pace-setters Devonshire Colts pitted against X-Roads Warriors. The Colts, who currently sit at the summit of the league table, will enter the tie as clear favorites after a dominant 5-2 victory over the Warriors earlier this season. In that November meeting, a clinical hat-trick from Senoj Mitchell proved the difference, and the Colts will look to repeat that offensive masterclass to keep their double dreams alive.
Elsewhere in the draw, the PHC Zebras are set to take on the Boulevard Blazers. The Zebras will be buoyed by their previous league meeting in December, where they secured a comfortable 3-0 shutout against the Blazers. With PHC currently chasing the Colts in the league standings, the cup offers a vital secondary route to silverware for the Zebras.
The quarter-final lineup also features a mouth-watering contest between St. George’s Colts and Devonshire Cougars. This fixture carries significant weight following their thrilling 3-3 draw at Wellington Oval in early December. In that encounter, Chae Brangman struck twice for the Cougars—including a 91st-minute penalty—to salvage a point after the East Enders had raced into a two-goal lead.
Completing the draw, the cup holders and defending champions North Village Rams have been tasked with overcoming the Paget Lions. The two sides met as recently as mid-December in a tense 2-2 draw at Bernard Park. On that afternoon, Jalen Harvey was the hero for the Rams, scoring twice—including an 86th-minute equalizer—to ensure the champions remained unbeaten against the stubborn Lions.
