Bermuda will remain a pivotal stop on the global golf map as the US PGA Tour officially unveiled its eight-tournament fall schedule for 2026. The high-stakes "FedExCup Fall" series, which determines player eligibility for the following season, features two stops in Mexico and a return to Japan, but the Atlantic jewel remains a standout fixture.
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is set to return to the world-renowned Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton from October 21st - 25th.
Moving slightly forward in the calendar from its traditional November slot, the Bermuda event will serve as a critical fourth stop in the eight-week sprint. With only the top 125 players in the FedExCup standings securing their full playing cards for 2027, the pressure at Port Royal—notorious for its swirling Atlantic winds and the dramatic, oceanfront par-three 16th hole—will be at an all-time high.
The tournament arrives on the heels of a thrilling 2025 edition, where American Adam Schenk claimed his first PGA Tour title with a gritty 12-under-par finish. Schenk joined an illustrious list of Port Royal champions, including Rafael Campos, Camilo Villegas, and Seamus Power.
"The PGA Tour is pleased to introduce exciting new events alongside the global appeal of stops in Japan, Mexico, and Bermuda," said Tyler Dennis, the Tour’s Chief Competitions Officer. "Fans can expect rich storylines as players look to secure their status for the 2027 season."
The event continues to be a massive economic driver for the island, with past editions generating over $17 million in local impact. For Bermuda’s local qualifiers, it remains the ultimate opportunity to test their mettle against the world's best on home soil.
