BFA League Tables & Golden Boot Races Intensify

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) league tables are shaping up for thrilling conclusions, with top-of-the-table battles and relegation fights taking form in the Premier Division, while the First Division sees a seasoned veteran dominate the Golden Boot race.

The Premier Division remains highly contested, with the Dandy Town Hornets currently leading the charge, sitting at the summit with 16 points accumulated from eight games.

The remainder of the top five is incredibly congested and highly competitive; the North Village Rams, PHC Zebras, and Devonshire Colts are all closely trailing the leaders, each on 15 points from eight games. X-Road’s sit just outside the leading pack on 12 points.

The race for the Golden Boot in the top flight is equally tight, featuring a two-way tie among the early scoring leaders, with Senoj Mitchell (Devonshire Colts) and Chae Brangman (Devonshire Cougars) share the overall lead with 7 goals each.

Donovan Thompson (X-Road’s) and David Jones (Dandy Town Hornets) are close behind, both having netted 6 goals. A chasing pair featuring Jonte Smith (North Village Rams) and Enrique Russell (PHC Zebras) are both currently on 5 goals.

In the First Division, the Somerset Trojans have taken control of the division, sitting at the top of the standings with 15 points from five games. Robin Hood are in second place with 12 points.

The chase pack remains tightly bunched, promising an exciting run-in, with the Somerset Eagles, Southampton Rangers, and Wolves all tied on seven points apiece, battling for position in the middle of the table.

The early Golden Boot race in the First Division continues to be thoroughly dominated by veteran talent. Keishen Bean of Robin Hood has stormed ahead of the field with a blistering 11 goals. The massive gap between the top scorer and the rest of the league is clear, with Jadan Ratteray Smith (Somerset Trojans) in second with 4 goals, and Dominique Hill (Southampton Rangers) in third with 3 goals. The chasing pack consists of 8 players who all have two goals each, further emphasizing Bean's exceptional start to the season.
