IslandStats.com
A day of dramatic football saw Young Men Social Club pull off a remarkable three-goal comeback to secure a draw against X-Road's, while PHC Zebras delivered a crucial victory over Premier Division leaders Devonshire Colts, tightening the title race.

PREMIER DIVISION

Young Men Social Club 3 X-Road’s 3

The match at Police Field delivered a classic tale of two halves. Second-placed X-Road’s looked to be cruising to victory after taking a commanding 3-0 lead into the break.

Donovan Thompson opened the scoring in the 22nd minute following a defensive error. The lead was quickly doubled by Tyler Dill in the 30th minute, and Thompson added his second after a mix-up between the goalkeeper and a defender left an empty net.

However, the ninth-placed Young Men Social Club refused to give up. Clay Darrell initiated the comeback in the 82nd minute, beating the offside trap to score from close range. Just one minute later, Darrell added his second, bundling the ball over the line after a cross was mishandled by the X-Road’s substitute goalkeeper. The incredible recovery was completed in stoppage time when Jinairo Johnston scored the equalizing header from close range, securing an unlikely 3-3 draw.

PHC Zebras 2 Devonshire Colts 0

At the PHC Stadium, the fifth-placed PHC Zebras handed league leaders Devonshire Colts a crucial defeat with a 2-0 win.

The Zebras took the lead in the 30th minute when Hailé Eve headed home from a close-range cross, giving them a 1-0 advantage at the break.

Enrique Russell doubled the lead in the 80th minute from the penalty spot after a foul in the box. This significant result sees PHC Zebras draw level on points with Devonshire Colts, alongside the defending champions, North Village Rams, setting up a thrilling title race.

FIRST DIVISION

Robin Hood 3 Somerset Eagles 1

Robin Hood secured a vital 3-1 win over the Somerset Eagles at the PHC Stadium, which saw them draw level on points with the league-leading Somerset Trojans, though the Trojans still hold a game in hand.

The league's leading goalscorer, Keishen Bean, gave Robin Hood the lead in the 24th minute. The advantage lasted only four minutes before Marcus Iris-Simmons drew the Somerset Eagles level, leaving the score at 1-1 at halftime. An own goal in the 54th minute restored Robin Hood's lead, and Keishen Bean added his second goal of the match in the 83rd minute to earn Robin Hood the three points.
