The lone Premier Division match of the night saw Boulevard Blazers and Paget Lions battle to an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Devonshire Recreation Club pitch, a contest marked by a dramatic first-half comeback and a serious injury delay in the second.
The match sprang to life early, with the Paget Lions taking a swift lead. Shakir Smith capitalized on a defensive error in the 9th minute, scoring inside the box. Smith doubled the lead just five minutes later, putting the Lions up 2-0 and signalling a potential rout.
However, the Boulevard Blazers stormed back immediately. Doreiko Walker began the revival in the 19th minute, scoring a header at the back post to pull his team within one goal. Walker completed the sensational comeback in the 35th minute, scoring his second goal of the game to draw the Boulevard Blazers level, with the score remaining 2-2 at the break.
The second half was marred by a significant stoppage after Kenyarde McQueen lay motionless for a while with a suspected broken or dislocated arm, before being taken from the grounds by ambulance. Following the resumption of play, both teams pushed hard for the winning goal, but neither could find the breakthrough, forcing the points to be shared in the 2-2 draw.
