The Bermuda Football Association has released the much-anticipated draw for the FA Challenge Cup First Round, with all matches set to ignite the competition between January 23rd and January 25th, 2025.
The draw has thrown up some intriguing ties, promising fierce competition across various divisions. This year's first round features a balanced mix: two all-Premier Division clashes, two matches pitting Premier Division teams against First Division opposition, and four Corona League sides all facing formidable Premier Division challenges.
Defending champions North Village Rams face an immediate test of their credentials. They will host arch-rivals Dandy Town Hornets in a highly anticipated all-Premier Division showdown at Bernard Park on Friday, January 23rd. The other all-Premier Division clash sees the Paget Lions taking on Young Men Social Club.
Meanwhile, the First Division teams will be eager to cause an upset. Somerset Trojans, from the First Division, will host Premier Division giants PHC Zebras. Similarly, Robin Hood, also a First Division outfit, will entertain the Boulevard Blazers from the Premier Division, hoping to progress in the prestigious cup competition.
The stage is set for an exciting start to the FA Challenge Cup, with upsets always a possibility in knockout football.
