FA Challenge Cup Preliminary Round Round-Up

The FA Challenge Cup Preliminary Round produced a series of upsets and thrillers, with four Corona League teams advancing to join the Premier Division sides in the next round.

Corona League teams Island Bulls, FC Rhino’s, Young Gunz, and Inter Bermuda all booked their place in the draw, alongside First Division survivors Somerset Trojans and Robin Hood.

FC Rhino 1 Wolves 0

FC Rhino’s edged past Wolves at Southampton Oval. Following a scoreless first half, Keith Jennings netted the decisive goal in the 77th minute to secure the upset victory.

St. David's 2 Young Gunz 3

Young Gunz staged a sensational late comeback to make it three-for-three against First Division teams.

St. David's took the lead twice through Tre McCallan in the 27th minute and Tyrone Burgess in the 55th minute, but Young Gunz responded each time via Drewonde Bascome in the 36th minute and Rico Wells in the 63rd minute. The winner came deep into stoppage time when Dion Stovell scored in the 93rd minute to seal the dramatic 3-2 win.

Southampton Rangers 2 (6) Robin Hood 2 (7) - After Extra Time

In an all-First Division clash at the Southampton Oval, Robin Hood needed a sudden-death penalty shootout to defeat Southampton Rangers.

Rangers took an immediate lead through Jahni Bean in the 1st minute, but Taurean Manders equalised for Robin Hood in the 87th minute, forcing extra-time.

The scoring continued there, with Keishen Bean giving Robin Hood the lead in the 104th minute only for Ralston Wright to draw the Rangers level three minutes later in the 107th minute.

The match went to penalties, where Robin Hood eventually prevailed 7–6 in the sudden death period.

Somerset Trojans 9 Terrace Onions 1

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the Somerset Trojans defeated the Terrace onions 9 - 1.

The largest margin of victory went to First Division side Somerset Trojans, who cruised past Corona League team Terrace Onions 9-1 at the Somerset Cricket Club.

The Trojans were already 5-0 up at the break with goals from Paris Robinson (2), Keyni Mills, Tahje Wade, and Jadan Ratteay Smith.

Mills and Rattery Smith both added a second goal in the second half, with Rychus Symonds and Jadon Simmons also scoring. Christopher Alexander netted a penalty for the Terrace Onions' solitary goal in the 55th minute.
