Corona League side Inter Bda produced a sensational late turnaround to shock First Division opponents Somerset Eagles, advancing in the FA Challenge Cup with a thrilling 3-2 victory.
Inter Bda looked to be heading out as they trailed by two goals early in the second half, but a dramatic final 20 minutes saw them clinch the win in stoppage time.
Somerset Eagles had taken a narrow 1-0 lead into the break after Zico Saltus-Seymour broke the deadlock three minutes into first-half stoppage time.
The Eagles extended their advantage nine minutes after the restart when Yizharyah Williams doubled the scoreline in the 54th minute, putting the First Division team firmly in control at 2-0.
However, the tie turned on its head in a remarkable period for Inter Bda.
Nuno Ponte ignited the comeback in the 71st minute, reducing the deficit to 2-1. Just four minutes later, Rory McKittrick levelled the scores at 2-2, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.
With extra time looming, Inter Bda were awarded a penalty three minutes into second-half stoppage time. Ponte stepped up to calmly convert from the spot, scoring his second goal of the match and completing a memorable 3-2 comeback to send the Corona League side into the next round.
