The Buckingham Swans Whites Rugby Women’s team delivered a sensational performance at the Buckingham Rugby Club, securing a comprehensive and clinical 76-5 victory over the Handsworth Ladies.
The win was built on an overwhelming attacking display from the Swans, who ran riot against the visitors from the first whistle to the last.
Leading the charge and putting in a significant shift for the home side was Sarah Cross, who watched her teammates tear through the Handsworth defence with apparent ease.
From the opening exchanges, the Buckingham Swans Whites looked sharp and intent, establishing control across the pitch. Their ability to turn over possession and execute fluid, high-tempo attacking plays resulted in a flurry of tries that Handsworth struggled to contain.
While Handsworth managed to register a solitary score, the sheer speed and intensity of the Swans’ offence proved too much to handle, resulting in a final scoreline of 76-5.
The huge win marks a highly successful outing for Cross and the Swans, who will take significant momentum and confidence from this performance into their upcoming fixtures.
