Action in the Commercial Bowling League at the Warwick Lanes saw league leaders Sweet Life maintain their position at the summit, while a shock result rocked the top two spots.
Sweet Life successfully defended their lead with a crucial victory over fourth-placed Who Gives A Split, winning 3-1. The win keeps their challengers at bay as the competition intensifies.
The biggest result of the night, however, came from the bottom half of the table. Eighth-placed Spare Parts delivered a huge upset, routing second-placed Strike Force with a dominant 3½ - ½ victory. This result is a major blow to Strike Force's title aspirations and creates breathing room for the bottom teams.
Elsewhere on the lanes:
Third-placed Horseshoe Bay Rollers made quick work of the ninth-placed Pin Heads, securing a decisive 4-0 sweep to leap closer to the top spot.
Butt & Vallis defeated fifth-placed Too Legit To Split 3-1 in a mid-table clash, strengthening their position in the top six.
Seventh-placed Secret Weapons had a bye this week.
The dramatic shift in the top two, courtesy of Spare Parts, ensures the Commercial League remains wide open heading into the next round of fixtures.
