After winning the toss, Cleveland County elected to send the challengers to bat. A significant rain delay of nearly three hours interrupted play, but when the covers came off, St. David's managed to post a respectable total of 146 for 6 in 30.3 overs.
The innings was anchored by a superb performance from Macai Simmons, who top-scored with a vital 50 not out from just 45 balls, an innings that included four fours and three sixes. The pick of the Cleveland County bowlers was their captain, Mackih McGowan, who claimed three wickets for 45 runs from his 11.3 overs.
In their reply, Cleveland County managed to see out the match, reaching 93 for 6, a result that was enough for them to retain the cup.
