Bermudian Archers Head to World Championships in Korea

IslandStats.com
Bermuda's archery team has faced a challenging summer, with some competitors missing out on the World Archery Youth Championship due to a recent Air Canada strike. However, two of the island's top archers, Camerin Pickering and Jaydon Roberts, are set to compete on the world stage, leaving tonight for the World Archery Championships in Gwangju, Korea.

The duo will represent Bermuda at the senior championships, a significant step up in competition. Roberts is fresh off his performances at the recent Junior Pan American Games, where he gained valuable experience against top international talent. Pickering has also been in good form, with a recent standout performance at the Vegas Shoot in March, where he won his flight.

With only two archers from the island able to compete at this level, Pickering and Roberts will be carrying the flag for Bermuda at one of the sport's most prestigious events. The championships are set to take place from September 5-12, and the Bermudian pair will be hoping to make their mark against the world's best archers.
