Bermuda's participation at the Junior Pan American Games has officially come to a close in Asunción, Paraguay, with the island set to be represented by both Caitlyn Bobb and Oliver Betschart as they carry the national flag at the Closing Ceremony.
The honour for Bobb comes after a standout performance that saw her win a silver medal in the women's 400 metres, one of Bermuda's three medals at the Games. Sailor Sebastian Kempe also won a silver, while swimmer Jack Harvey secured a bronze.
Golfer Betschart concluded Bermuda's campaign with his third and final round, finishing in a respectable 14th place overall. He posted a score of 7-over par 79, bringing his three-round total to 20-over par 236. His final round was a rollercoaster of highs and lows, which included four birdies, six pars, six bogeys, and a double and triple bogey.
With the Games now over, the Bermudian contingent will return home having gained invaluable experience and demonstrated their potential on the regional stage.
