Bermuda's two athletes on Day 12 of the Junior Pan American Games put in solid performances, with golfer Oliver Betschart and track star Nirobi Smith Mills both in action in Paraguay.

He crossed the line just over a second behind the gold medallist, Miguel Angel Pantojas, who was clocked at 1:48.79. It was a strong showing from the Bermudian in a high-pressure final.
