Southampton Rangers SC Won by 150 Runs
Southampton Rangers 235/4 PHC 85
Southampton Rangers have stormed into the knock-out final with a comprehensive 150-run victory over PHC in a semi-final match reduced to 20 overs due to early morning rain at the Southampton Oval.
Winning the toss and sending the Rangers to bat, PHC's bowlers were at the mercy of a devastating partnership. Dion Stovell was the main aggressor, scoring a phenomenal 90 not out off just 41 balls, an innings that included eight sixes and six fours. He was brilliantly supported by Oyinde Bascome, who blasted 77 off just 35 balls. The pair's explosive hitting propelled Southampton Rangers to an imposing total of 235 for 4.
In reply, PHC's chase never got going. They were dismantled by a disciplined Rangers bowling attack and were dismissed for just 85 runs. Marquel Waldron was the lone bright spot with the bat, top-scoring with 43. The chief destroyer for the Rangers was Swayne Campbell, who was the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of three wickets for just 15 runs.
