Swimmers Advance to Finals at Junior Pan Am Games
Bermudian swimmers were the sole competitors for the island on Day Four of the Junior Pan American Games, with two athletes earning spots in the 'B' Finals later in the evening.
Bermudian swimmers Jack Harvey and Sam Williamson both competed in 'B' Finals on Day Four of the Junior Pan American Games.
Fresh from winning Bermuda's first medal of the Games, Harvey took to the pool for the Men's 50m Freestyle 'B' Final. He finished seventh in the consolation race, touching the wall with a time of 23.22 seconds.
In the Men's 400m Individual Medley 'B' Final, Sam Williamson put in an excellent swim to finish in third place, clocking an impressive time of 4:45.39.
Earlier in teh day, in the Women's 50m Freestyle, Marleigh Howes delivered a strong performance, finishing second in her heat with a time of 27.62 seconds. Her time saw her place 22nd overall.
Fresh from winning Bermuda's first medal of the Games, Olympian Jack Harvey was back in the pool and continued his fine form. He won his heat in the Men's 50m Freestyle with a time of 23.25 seconds, which was good enough for 12th overall, securing him a spot in the 'B' Final.
Sam Williamson also earned a spot in a 'B' Final. Competing in the Men's 400m Individual Medley, he finished sixth in his heat with a time of 4:51.71, placing him 11th overall and advancing him to the next stage of the competition.
