Bermuda's track and field athletes Norre Robinson and Amara Samuels delivered impressive performances and set new personal bests at the Bahamas National Open Championships, held at the Bahamas National Stadium.
Robinson was in blistering form in the Men's 100m. In Round 1, Heat 2, he clocked a new personal best time of 10.50 seconds to finish third. He then went on to compete in the Second Final, where he finished fourth with a time of 10.69 seconds.
He continued his strong showing in the Men's 200m, where he once again set a new personal best. In Round 1, Heat 3, Robinson finished fourth with a time of 21.44 seconds. However, he did not compete in the final.
In the Women's 100m, Samuels also showed great speed. She finished third in her preliminary heat with a time of 12.41 seconds. She then went even faster in the final, crossing the line in 12.25 seconds to secure a fourth-place finish.
The results are a significant boost for both athletes as they continue to compete on the international stage.
