Bermuda's Paralympian Jessica Lewis has capped off a remarkable performance at the Canadian Track & Field Championships in Ottawa by winning the gold medal in the Women's 200m Wheelchair event.

The victory, her second gold of the championships following her win in the 100m, came after a blistering run in the final. Lewis clocked an impressive time of 30.18 seconds, improving on her fastest preliminary time of 30.28 seconds.

The final was a thrilling affair, with Lewis holding off a fierce challenge from her training partner and rival, Nandini Sharma, who took silver with a time of 30.30 seconds. This mirrored the close battle between the two in the preliminary heats, which saw Sharma finish in 30.95 seconds. Jessi Guerrier rounded out the podium, securing the bronze medal with a time of 39.39 seconds.

Lewis's performance in Ottawa underscores her status as a top-tier competitor and adds another significant achievement to her already impressive medal haul. The gold medal in the 200m, alongside her 100m gold and 400m silver, demonstrates her versatility and dominance across multiple distances.
