IslandStats.com
Barbados Under 19 Women Won by 7 Wickets

Leeward Islands Under 19 Women 67 Barbados Under 19 Women 68/3

Katherine Bean Rosario and her Leeward Islands Under-19 Women's teammates faced a challenging encounter in their West Indies Rising Stars Women's Under-19 Championship match today, ultimately falling to Barbados Under-19s Women by seven wickets at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground.

After winning the toss, Barbados elected to field, and their decision paid dividends as they restricted the Leeward Islands to just 67 all out. Sainavi Kambalapalli was the standout performer for the Leeward Islands, carrying her bat for an impressive 41 not out. Bermudian Katherine Bean Rosario, however, was unfortunately dismissed without scoring. The pick of the Barbados bowlers was Naijanni Cumberbatch, who delivered a devastating spell, claiming five wickets for just eight runs from 3.3 overs.

In response, Barbados Under-19s Women chased down the target comfortably, reaching 68 for 3. Opener Asabi Callendar guided their innings with an unbeaten 30. For the Leeward Islands, Jahzara Claxton was the most effective bowler, taking one wicket for 13 runs from her five overs. Bean Rosario also contributed behind the stumps, securing a stumping during the Barbados innings.

The result marks a setback for the Leeward Islands in the tournament, while Barbados will be pleased with their comprehensive victory.
