The waters of St. George's Harbour played host to a captivating display of sailing prowess today, as the Comet Class returned for the annual Colin Clarke Regatta. After four hard-fought races, it was the consistent performance of Max Curtis and his crew Wesley Tucker that ultimately secured them the victory.
Curtis and Tucker showcased their mastery of the conditions, claiming two wins, a second-place finish, and a sixth, which they were able to discard as their throw-out race. This impressive series of results left them with a winning total of just 4 points.
The battle for the podium was tight. Gladwin Lambert and his crew Stefan Maybury sailed a strong regatta to secure second place overall with 6 points. Their scorecard included a win, a second, a third, and a fourth-place finish, highlighting their consistent performance throughout the day.
Rounding out the top three was the pairing of Greg Wade and his crew Geno Smith, who finished with 10 points. Their day included a first-place finish in one race, along with a fourth, fifth, and seventh in the others.
The Colin Clarke Regatta once again provided excellent competition for the Comet Class, with Curtis and Tucker demonstrating why they are a formidable force on the Bermudian sailing scene.
