The Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) celebrated Women in Golf Week today with its popular "Ladies Nine & Wine" Golf Tournament, held under "Bermudaful" weather conditions at the scenic Turtle Hill Golf Club.
Seven teams participated in the enjoyable 9-hole event, showcasing camaraderie and skill on the course. To commemorate the special occasion, each participant received a commemorative Titleist golf hat adorned with the BGA logo. The event was hailed as a wonderful and fun-filled afternoon for all involved.
The competition at the top was fierce, resulting in a tie for first place. Two teams finished at 1-under par. The victorious quartets were the team of Stephanie Lewis, Juliette Ferrari-McComb, Jaime Ferrari-Willis, and Latonia Fray, who finished level with the team of Linda Down, Tracy Nash, Katrin Burnie, and Valerie Nearon.
Taking sole possession of third place was the team of Judy Anderson-Lindo, Gaynell Ceasar, Brenda Burchall, and Erva Hassell, who completed their round at Even par.
Just one stroke back, in fourth place, was the team comprising Ann Symonds, Melissa Ray, Sandra Scott, and Angela Cook.
Rounding out the standings, the team of Amanda Fubler, Lauren Smith, and Tracey Jachmann finished fifth. Kimberly Lewis, Dianna Mitchell, Michelle Bailey, and Madison Hughes secured sixth place, while the team of Dominie Doig, Frances Trott, Nathalie Sheen, and Vicki Hartt finished seventh.
The "Ladies Nine & Wine" tournament proved to be a resounding success, bringing together women golfers in a spirit of friendly competition and celebration of the game during Women in Golf Week.
