FC Bascome & Rams Earn U23 Summer League Wins

FC Bascome and the North Village Rams earn wins in Bermuda Football Association’s Under 23 Summer League action at the BAA Field.

FC Bascome 4 Wolves 1

FC Bascome delivered a strong performance to defeat Wolves 4-1 in the opening match of the Bermuda Football Association’s Under-23 Summer League fixture.

Ben Osset was the early star for FC Bascome, giving his side a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. He then doubled their advantage just ten minutes later, putting FC Bascome firmly in control.

Wolves, however, found a lifeline in the 27th minute when Torque Outerbridge pulled a goal back, reducing the deficit and sparking hopes of a comeback. But FC Bascome quickly reasserted their dominance. In the 42nd minute, Ari Cannonier restored their two-goal cushion, making it 3-1, a lead they carried comfortably into the half-time break.

The second half saw fewer goals but FC Bascome continued to control proceedings. Mosiais Mills scored the lone goal of the second period in the 72nd minute, extending FC Bascome's lead to 4-1 and effectively sealing a comprehensive victory.

This result marks a strong statement from FC Bascome in the Under-23 Summer League, while Wolves will be looking to regroup and improve in their upcoming matches.

Dandy Town Hornets 1 North Village Rams 2

The North Village Rams secured a dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Dandy Town Hornets in the nightcap fixture, snatching a 2-1 win.

The Dandy Town Hornets drew first blood, with Daezi Harvey finding the back of the net in the 31st minute. This strike gave the Hornets a 1-0 lead, which they held onto going into the half-time break.

As the second half progressed, the North Village Rams pushed for an equaliser. Their persistence paid off in the 74th minute when Jabri Hayward found the back of the net, drawing the scores level.

The momentum had clearly shifted, and just three minutes later, the Rams completed their turnaround. Seke Spence scored what proved to be the winning goal, putting North Village ahead 2-1.

The Dandy Town Hornets were unable to find a response in the remaining minutes, as the North Village Rams held on for a hard-fought victory. This result will be a significant boost for the Rams, showcasing their resilience, while the Hornets will be left to rue letting their lead slip.
