Hopkins Finishes Thirteenth in Guadeloupe Stage Two

IslandStats.com
Bermudian cyclist Kaden Hopkins continued his participation in the 2025 Grand Prix USL Road Race in Guadeloupe, competing in the challenging Stage Two.

The stage saw the peloton tackle a 97.4-kilometre circuit around Deshaies in Guadeloupe. The victory went to Kévin Le Cunff of Team Madras Capesterre Belle-Eau, who narrowly outsprinted his rivals to clock a winning time of 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 59 seconds (2:24:59).

Guadeloupe Islands Champion Le Cunff edged out Paul Daumont of Guidon Sprinter Canalien Cycling Team in a close finish, with Lionel Miny of Jeunesse Cycliste Abymes completing the podium in third place.

Kaden Hopkins, representing his team, finished further back in the pack, crossing the line in 13th place with a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes, and 40 seconds (2:27:40). He finished 2 minutes and 41 seconds behind the stage winner.

While Hopkins will have aimed for a higher placing, finishing within the top fifteen of a competitive international road race demonstrates his continued presence in the peloton. The demanding nature of stage racing often sees riders with different strengths come to the fore on various days, and Hopkins will be looking to utilize his abilities in the upcoming stages of the Grand Prix USL. The experience gained in these challenging races in Guadeloupe will be valuable as his season progresses.
