Ryan Outerbridge played a starring role as his Franklin Pierce University Track & Field teammates capped off an impressive showing at the 2025 Northeast-10 Conference Championships. The Franklin Pierce men's team secured a commendable third-place overall finish, while the women's team finished seventh.
The championships were marked by record-breaking performances and historic achievements for Franklin Pierce. A standout moment came in the Men's 3000-meter steeplechase, where the university achieved a remarkable podium sweep for the first time in their program's history.
Leading the charge was Bermuda's own Ryan Outerbridge, who claimed the Gold Medal in the event, clocking a time of 9:48.09. He was closely followed by his teammates Angel Mendo Alonso, who secured the Silver Medal in 9:48.22, and Sam Fortin, who took the Bronze with a time of 9:56.26.
Outerbridge wasn't finished there, as he also demonstrated his endurance and strength by winning the Men's 10000 Run. He stopped the clock in 32:58.02, adding another Gold Medal to his impressive haul. In his third and final event of the meet, Outerbridge competed in the Men's 5000m, finishing in a respectable ninth place with a time of 15:49.64.
Outerbridge's gold medals in the steeplechase and 10000m, along with the historic podium sweep in the steeplechase, were key highlights for Franklin Pierce at the NE-10 Championships, contributing significantly to the men's team's strong overall finish.
