Cameron Basden, representing Barry University Men's Track & Field, showcased his athleticism at the St. Thomas University Outdoor Meet in Miami, competing in two events for the Buccaneers.
Basden first took to the track in the Men's 100m Dash. Running in Heat Three, he clocked a time of 11.21 seconds, finishing third in his heat. When the overall results were tallied, Basden's performance placed him 14th in a competitive field.
Later in the meet, Basden excelled in the Men's Long Jump. He demonstrated his leaping ability, securing a well-deserved second-place finish with a top leap of 6.86 meters, which translates to an impressive 22 feet and 6.25 inches. This silver medal performance highlights Basden's versatility and his ability to compete at a high level in both sprinting and jumping events for Barry University.
