Zeiko Lewis and his Sacramento Republic FC teammate’s 10-game home unbeaten streak running back to the 2022 season came to a close as the club fell to Monterey Bay F.C. at Heart Health Park, 1-0.
Sacramento Republic controlled most of the match, leading the visitors in possession, shots, and expected goals, but the Indomitable Club couldn’t find the back of the net – just the third time the club has been held scoreless all season.
An 18th minute score from the visitors ended as the decider as Republic FC suffered its first home defeat since October 9th, 2022. Chances were plentiful for Sacramento Republic throughout the contest as they dominated the possession balance and put the visitors on their heels for most of the match.
