Oscar Lightbourne has being selected to serve as a San Da (San Shou) Judge for the upcoming Bolivarian Games being held in Peru.
Wushu will be making its debut at the 2013 Games.
Lightbourne has played a major part in increasing the profile of the Bermuda San Da team through judging at past Pan American Wushu Championships in Brazil in 2008 and Mexico in 2012.
As a result of his continuing education as a judge, Lightbourne has increased others including the likes of Garon Wilkinson’s level of knowledge as a coach which in turn has helped to bear fruit which can be seem through the recent success of our athletes.
Wilkinson said, “As the President of the Bermuda San Shou Association I am thrilled and honored to have Lightbourne represent Bermuda at this multi-sport event.”
