The XXIV Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Senior Athletics Championships continued going on in Mexico.
A leap of 6.45m saw Arantxa King pick up Bermuda’s second Medal of the Championships as she won the Silver Medal in the Women’s Long Jump.
Aaron Evans finished 6th in the Men’s 800m race clocking a time of 1:50.88, while Tre Houston finished 16th in the Men’s 200m event clocking a time of 21.37.
University Games
The University Games got underway in Kazan, Russia, with three athletes competing on Day One.
In the morning session Shaquille Dill and Henry Stevens-Carty competed in the 400m.
Stevens-Carty was in Heat 2 and finished 6th in a time of 49.49 unfortunately he did not advance to the next round.
Dill ran in Heat 5 finishing 4th in a seasonal best time of 47.71, Dill’s time saw him advance to the Semi-Finals.
Taylor Ashley Bean competing in the Qualifying Round of the Women's 800m, she just missed out on a spot in the Semi-Finals after she recorded the 17th fastest qualifying time of 2:16.48.
