The draw and playing schedules for the forthcoming Men's U19 and Senior Women's 15 a-side championships in Nassau, Bahamas, have been announced. In the U19s, reigning Caribbean champions Cayman play against Bermuda and Bahamas in Pool A, while in Pool B the 2009 Runners Up, Mexico, will play against Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados.
The Bermuda 22 men roster was also announced.
In the Women's 15 a-side competition, 2010 welcomes the U20 national teams of USA and Canada, both teams competing alongside teams from the Caribbean for the first time. The tournament also sees the debut of the Bahamas Women's national 15 a-side team and also a Caribbean Select team comprising players from all around the Caribbean, including players from Trinidad & Tobago (T&T), Guyana, Bermuda, Jamaica, Barbados and St Vincent and The Grenadines.
Inclusion of players from T&T and Guyana, teams that historically have dominated the Caribbean Championship in their own right, the Select teams should provide stiff opposition for the USA, Canada. Likewise, Cayman, a team that is improving year on year and the 2009 runner up will provide a good test for their neighbors from North America.
Both tournaments take place at the Winton Rugby Centre, just outside Nassa, Bahamas.
