Dominique Mayho Ready IslandStats.com Team Bermuda, Dominique Mayho, Tre-shun Correia, Marquise Cann, Mark Godfrey and Hayley Evans arrived in Aruba yesterday to take part in the 5th Annual Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships.
The group spent this morning inspecting the time trial and road race courses. Peter Dunne the Bermuda Bicycle Association President said, “The weather in Aruba is very warm but dry and windy with a steady breeze of 20 knots. This will have less impact on tomorrow's time trial given the orientation of the route but will result in a head wind/ tail wind for Sunday's road race.”
“The team is all healthy and we’re satisfied with the courses. Racing starts tomorrow morning with the 18 kilometer time trial along a very flat course. Evans and the rest of the Girls category will start followed by Juvenile Boys that will include Cann & Godfrey and then Correia & Mayho take part in the Junior Boys field.
